Ever since I can remember, I have always loved to draw. I still have my first "piece of artwork" - a pencil drawing from Miss Volie's art class in the fourth grade. My interest in creativity spans photography, sewing, painting, and ceramics to the challenge of building anything. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, my family settled in Greenville, SC, where I graduated from high school. I was part of the first graduating class of the Greenville Fine Arts Center. Upon graduation from the University of South Carolina, I went to work as an illustrator for Fluor Corporation. Then, my husband and I raised four children in many wonderful places, from the California coast to the Maryland coast, until once again settling in Greenville in 2002. 

In January 2017, with tremendous encouragement from family and friends and a full-time empty nester, I began my art and real estate photography business, thus the name Jill’s Art and Photo. 

I want to visually represent a seller’s home or special memory so that it can be cherished for many years. 

In photography, I work with the realtor and the seller to prepare the home to be seen in its best light. I strive to capture the essence of the home and give the prospective buyer the ability to visualize life there. I aim to be an integral partner to the realtor, enabling a quicker home sale. 

In art, my passion is to create a lasting memory for my customers, whether it be a local landmark, a beloved pet, or a first home.
